Franklin College to Inaugurate President Prather

Subscribe NowFranklin College will Saturday celebrate the inauguration of its 17th president, Kerry Prather, with a series of events. Prather was appointed acting president in January 2020 and president one month later. In March, the Franklin College Board of Trustees announced Prather would continue to lead the institution until at least July 1, 2024.
Prather’s been with the institution for 39 years, having joined in 1982 as the assistant men’s basketball coach and later becoming head coach. Since then, he’s held numerous titles, including, athletic director, assistant dean and vice president.
The college says during Prather’s time as president, he has led the way in establishing the college’s Center for Tech Innovation and the Johnson Memorial Health Athletic Annex.
He also led the college to its most successful fundraising year in 2020.
Prather recently appeared on Inside INdiana Business with Gerry Dick to discuss his continuing vision for the school.
