The new center will be home to Franklin’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program, along with the upcoming Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program.
The center is located on the lower level of the Johnson Memorial Health building, which is three miles from the college’s campus. The building formerly housed JMH Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapies, which was moved to the hospital’s newly built rehabilitation center. Renovations for the 8,327 square foot space were completed by the college, including adding office space, classrooms, and a restroom. The college entered into a 10-year lease, with an option to renew for another decade.
The new center was helped along by a donation from Drs. Leonard and Teresa Bissonnette last week. An open house will be held in the new center on Saturday, September 29.
