Franciscan names COO for Crawfordsville hospital

The vice president and chief operating officer at Franciscan Health Rensselaer is assuming the same role at the health system’s campus 70 miles south.
Carlos Vasquez has been named vice president and chief operating officer at Franciscan Health Crawfordsville, the health system said. He will continue to hold his position in Rensselaer, as well, a role he has held for more than eight years.
“I am humbled to begin this role in Crawfordsville,” Vasquez said in a news release. “There are many similarities between Crawfordsville and Rensselaer and I will be able to use my experience to hit the ground running. There is an incredibly talented team of physicians, surgeons, nurses and staff in Crawfordsville, who I look forward to getting to know and working with, as we continue to provide exceptional care to our neighbors in Montgomery and surrounding counties.”
Last December, Franciscan Health Rensselaer was named Business of the Year by the Greater Rensselaer Chamber of Commerce, and Vasquez was awarded the Citizen of the Year honor, the news release said.
He has worked at Franciscan Health for nearly 17 years, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Like Franciscan Health Rensselaer, Franciscan Health Crawfordsville offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient services and 24/7 emergency care.
