The agency said the money will go to low-to-moderate income homeowners in order for them to make repairs to their homes.
The communities getting funding are:
- Montgomery County – $450,000
- Switzerland County – $500,000
- The City of Lawrenceburg – $350,000
- The City of Rushville – $350,000
Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch overseas OCRA and said in a news release that eligible repairs include roof work, ADA accessibility, heating and cooling replacement, lighting improvements and water heater replacements.
“All Hoosiers deserve to live in safe and affordable housing across Indiana,” Crouch said. “These grants will help individual homeowners maintain and improve their homes, allowing the entire community to thrive.”
Ultimately the funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant.
The release says the communities receiving money will set up programs to distribute the funds.
