Officials celebrated the “topping off” Friday for The Riverfront at Promenade Park by placing the final beam of the six-story building.
The project has been in the works since 2019 and ground was broken in February. When complete, The Riverfront at Promenade Park will feature 200 apartments and seven town homes, a 900-space parking garage, 30,000 square feet of office space and nearly 15,000 square feet of commercial space.
“The Riverfront at Promenade Park development demonstrates that the public planning and work with our riverfront is not only providing great places for families and all people in our community to gather, but it is also bringing private development projects to our City,” Fort Wayne Mayor Tom Henry said in a news release. “We’re beginning to see a true return on our investment that will continue for years to come.”
The city says the parking garage is expected to be complete early next year with the apartments and commercial space ready for occupancy in early 2023.
