Fort Wayne Insurer Expands With Out-of-State Acquisition

Subscribe NowFort Wayne-based DOXA Insurance Holdings LLC has announced the more than $10 million acquisition of an insurer in Illinois. Under terms of the deal, Chatham Insurance Services Inc. will retain its name and current headquarters. DOXA Chief Executive Officer Matt Sackett tells Inside INdiana Business the deal will not have an effect on any jobs, but will boost relationships with its Indiana-based legal, accounting and marketing partners.
DOXA says Chatham is considered the largest independent errors and omissions insurance provider to the managed care industry. Chatham was launched in 2002 and has clients in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. in a news release, Sackett said "we’re excited to welcome the Chatham team into the DOXA family of Managing General Agencies. The expertise and methodical approach that the Chatham staff brings to the table is remarkable, and we look forward to sharing in their future growth and success."
Jeff Stetson, a Chatham principal who co-founded the company with Jim Cannella, will remain Chatham’s leader at its Schaumberg, Illinois office.
