Fort Wayne is moving forward with the revitalization of its downtown. The Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission has issued a Request for Proposals to develop what it calls an underutilized property in a high-profile downtown location. 

The property, which is owned by the commission, currently serves as a surface parking lot. It sits next to the recently-redeveloped Randall Lofts as well as the $30 million redevelopment of The Landing. It is also located blocks away from the first phase of Riverfront Fort Wayne and the Ash Skyline Plaza.

"Downtown revitalization is in full swing, and developers are looking for investment opportunities," said Nancy Townsend, executive director of the Fort Wayne Redevelopment Commission. "By offering this prime location, we hope to get the property back on the tax rolls and contribute to the growth and excitement in downtown Fort Wayne."
