Dudich most recently served as VP for finance administration and treasurer at the University of Indianapolis.
Dudich was appointed Indiana’s budget director in 2017 by Gov. Eric Holcomb and departed the position in 2019 for the job at UIndy.
An IU alumnus, Dudich will be responsible for providing financial management expertise and policy leadership in support of IU’s economic engagement and government relations efforts, the university said.
“Jason has a proven track record as a catalytic leader across sectors including public, private and academia,” Michael Huber, vice president for university relations at IU, said in written remarks. “The experience he brings will help Indiana University strengthen Indiana’s economic vitality and improve the lives of Hoosiers across our state.”
In addition to his job at UIndy, Dudich has also served as a member of the review committee for the state’s $500 million Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative, or READI, which evaluated regional development projects for grant funding.
He has also previously held financial positions with the state of Illinois and the Indiana Commission for Higher Education, and was chief of staff for former Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard.
Dudich earned his bachelor’s degree from the IU Paul H. O’Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs and has served on the school’s distinguished alumni council for more than seven years.
