The former executive director of the Blackford County Economic Development Council will play a key role in what the Indy Partnership says is its "more expansive economic development agenda."
Everett also previously served as president of the East Central Indiana Development Council, a member of the East Central Indiana Regional Partnership Board and director of planning and research for the Alliance for Strategic Growth/Eastern Indiana Workforce Investment Board.
Indy Chamber Chief Economic Development Officer Maureen Donohue Krauss says Everett’s role will be a combination of ambassador, deal-maker and recruiter. "Jacob will be a great asset to the Indy Partnership as we promote our region to employers and investors across the country and around the world. He’s led a successful local economic development organization, and also worked within a regional coalition; given our increasing focus on talent, his workforce development experience will be invaluable."
The Indy Partnership says it helped coordinate 119 successful projects with local economic development organization partners, which amounts to 11,100 new jobs and $1.2 billion in investment in 2016.
