Foodservice, janitorial firm opens Brownsburg HQ

Acorn Distributors has opened its new Brownsburg headquarters.
The janitorial and food service distributor broke ground on its new 125,000-square-foot facility in May 2022, after announcing earlier that year it would move operations from its former facility in Indianapolis.
The new distribution center on Northfield Drive will bring updated facilities with “a fresh, modern work environment,” Acorn President Jennifer Rosenberg said in a news release.
“The move to our new location has been greatly anticipated and we are thrilled to have this space to better serve our current customers as well as our prospective customers,” Rosenberg said.
Leaders of the company told Inside INdiana Business in January 2022 that they were outgrowing their space on Indianapolis’ west side and that the new facility would provide more vertical space.
Acorn Distributors specializes in disposable paper and plastics, janitorial supplies, chemicals, sanitary maintenance materials and foodservice supply products. The company maintains operations in Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
The company has 86 employees at its Brownsburg location and is hiring delivery drivers, first shift distribution center associates, second shift picker/loaders and a purchasing administrator.
An Acord spokesperson declined to say how much it invested in the new headquarters, saying the company is privately held and does not share that information.
