The application process opened June 16. David Bennett has filled the role in the interim since October 2022.
“The foundation has continued to grow and evolve in response to our community’s needs,” Bennett said in a news release. “We are excited to embark on this search to find the next executive who will carry forward our founders’ vision.”
Michael Moellering, chair of the foundation’s board of directors, will lead the search committee, which will review a consultant’s recommendations, conduct interviews and present a candidate to the board of directors.
Chicago-based executive search firm Kittleman & Associates, LLC will serve as the consultant to search for and screen candidates.
The company said the ideal candidate reflects the Foellinger family’s values and is accomplished, a strategic leader, curious and experienced.
The Fort Wayne-based organization provides grants to not-for-profit organizations throughout Allen County that focus on early childhood, youth and family development; community interests; and capacity building, according to the foundation’s website.
Last month, the foundation reopened a building that underwent a $4 million renovation to provide meeting spaces available for Allen County not-for-profits to use at no cost.
