The foundation said the updated space provides meeting spaces available for Allen County nonprofits to use at no cost.
The renovation project began in April 2022. The new space includes a refinished lower level, six open meeting and collaboration spaces, and four private meeting spaces.
Interim President David Bennett told IIB the previous iteration of the building, which was built in 1992, had zero dedicated meeting spaces. The renovation was an effort to achieve a goal set forth by the foundation’s founder, Helene Foellinger.
“Helene originally envisioned our building as a place where nonprofits collaborate and ideate ways to create opportunities for Allen County residents,” Bennett said in written remarks. “We are thrilled to meet her vision.”
Bennett added that the cost of the renovation had no effect on the amount Foellinger awards in grants.
The foundation said the meeting spaces are available for one-on-one meetings, board meetings, group meetings, retreats and more. Nonprofits interested in utilizing the space can learn more by clicking here.
