Strimmenos currently serves as the Fort Wayne market president for Evansville-based Old National Bank.
Prior to joining the banking sector, Strimmenos spent 20 years as a CPA with a special interest in foundation work. She first worked with the Foellinger Foundation 25 years ago as an auditor with a CPA firm and conducted yearly audits for 10 years before joining the foundation’s audit team. She also spent nine years on the board of directors.
“Since my first interaction with Foellinger Foundation 25 years ago, I have always admired and
respected its commitment to following its donor intent,” Strimmenos said in a news release. “To have the greatest impact, we must keep a foothold in the past, with eyes focused to the future. I look forward to
building strong relationships with the staff and our grantee partners—together, we are stewarding
the Foellinger family’s legacy in this community.”
David Bennett has been serving as interim president and CEO since October 2022, and the search for a permanent CEO has been ongoing since June.
“It has been an honor to serve Foellinger Foundation during this transitional period,” Bennett said. “We are excited to welcome Sarah’s visionary leadership as she carries forward the Foellinger family’s legacy to benefit Allen County residents.”
The foundation said Bennett will continue serving as interim CEO until Strimmenos begins her tenure in November.
