Fishers Focusing on Airport Land Development

The agreement makes undeveloped land at the Fishers Metropolitan Airport available for economic development.
The Indianapolis Airport Authority Board of Directors approved the Memorandum of Understanding today. The Fishers City Council will vote on the measure Monday.
Fishers and airport leaders say there are 200-300 acres of land available for development along 96th Street and Hague Road. They will work together on promoting opportunities and developing a comprehensive strategy to develop the land around the airport. City leaders believe the airport could help attract a new corporate headquarters.
The IAA and Fishers will work on a master plan in the coming months, with city leaders planning to release a Request For Proposals next year.
