After over two decades at the company, Chris Frederick took the reins Saturday, the day William Harrod said he would resign after 30 years.
Since the original announcement in March, Frederick as been transitioning into the role from his previous position as chief financial officer.
“Bill has led First Capital for over twenty years and we appreciate the reputation he has developed for the Bank as a reliable community member,” Frederick said in a news release. “I am honored to assume Bill’s role as President and Chief Executive Officer and will continue to adhere to our core values.”
The bank has offices in 18 Indiana communities, including Corydon, Edwardsville, Greenville, Floyds Knobs, Palmyra, New Albany, New Salisbury, Jeffersonville, Salem, Lanesville and Charlestown and the Kentucky communities of Shepherdsville, Mt. Washington and Lebanon Junction.
