First Bank of Berne announces CFO

Subscribe NowFirst Bank of Berne has promoted Matthew Reinoehl to chief financial officer, the Adams County bank announced Tuesday. Reinoehl previously worked for the bank as the controller of its operation center.
Reinoehl spent 15 years in the banking industry, starting as a teller and leveling up to be an internal auditor and staff accountant at Peoples Federal Savings Bank in Auburn, which was acquired by Michigan City-based Horizon Bancorp in 2015.
“Matthew’s diverse business background, demonstrated leadership in all aspects of financial management, and commitment to putting customers first aligns well with our culture and values at First Bank of Berne,” First Bank of Berne President Kent Liechty said in a news release. “His integrity and wisdom brought him great success as our controller, and I know these traits will continue to serve him well as the takes on the role of CFO.”
Reinoehl is a resident of Fort Wayne and a graduate of Trine University in Angola.
