Chief Executive Officer Cameron Weeks says, since the company’s "future vision encompasses so much more than voice…the name Fathom Voice no longer fits the overall mission of this company." He says the platform will continue to operate as it always has, but adds, "we have big ambitions for what (we) will accomplish as we move towards the future as Sharpen."
The company, citing MarketsandMarkets forecasts, says the global cloud-based contact center market is expected to approximately triple by 2020, to $14.7 billion. Weeks says he is confident the company can keep up with future demand of call centers looking to transition to the cloud.
