Categories include Best State Parks and Recreation Areas, Best Museums and Best Burgers. The previous campaign sought winners for the state’s Best Fall Festival, Best Historic Destination and Best Tenderloin, which were awarded to the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival in Evansville, Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial in Lincoln City and Nick’s Kitchen in Huntington, respectively.
Lieutenant Governor Suzanne Crouch, who is in charge of the IOTD, says "you may find it difficult to narrow down from the variety of Indiana’s gorgeous state parks and recreation areas, but luckily when casting your vote you can pick your top five favorite. One of the best things about voting in this contest, is you get to learn about others’ favorite locations and ones you might want to visit as well."
The new ballot, which includes nominations from travel, tourism and hospitality industry professionals, involves 24 state parks and eight lake/state recreation areas, 30 museums and 32 signature burgers.
Voting will run through October 27 and the winner will be announced soon after. You can connect to the fall ballot by clicking here.
