Fairbanks says it will continue to provide treatment programs at its current location on the campus of Community Hospital North.
“In talking with audiences throughout the state, both names, Community and Fairbanks, shared strong reputations for high quality and reputable service,” says George Hurd, vice president of Community Behavioral Health. “Creating Community Fairbanks Recovery Center brings two of the best-known names together at a time when the need for awareness about substance-use treatment and recovery has never been greater.”
Additionally, several of Community Fairbanks Recovery Center programs will operate under new names. The long-term residential program known as La Verna Lodge will become Community Fairbanks Recovery Lodge. The First Step Supportive Living program will be known as Community Fairbanks Recovery Housing and the current recovery management program will be known as Community Fairbanks Recovery Management.
The health network says the new names are the result of an ongoing integration process that began more than a year ago when Fairbanks became part of Community Health Network.
