(Nasdaq: ESCA) has selected Walter Glazer as the company’s next chief executive officer. Glazer, who has served in the role on an interim basis since February, has been a member of the Escalade board since 2015.
Glazer succeeds Scott Sincerbeaux, who resigned from the company in February.
Glazer is the founder and former CEO of fine art materials manufacturer Speedball Arts Products Co., and founder of Nandina Properties. Both companies are based in North Carolina.
“I have been a shareholder since 1991 and board member for the past 6 years,” Glazer said in a news release. “Stepping into the interim role this year gave me a great appreciation for the complete Escalade organization. I’m energized and excited for the opportunity to work with our talented teams as they create value for our consumers, trade partners, communities, and shareholders.
Escalade designs, manufactures and sells sporting goods, fitness equipment, and indoor/outdoor recreation equipment. The company will next year celebrate 100 years in business.
