The Star Press reports the newly-elected school board approved emergency repairs at its Tuesday meeting, which means the historic landmark can be repaired without advertising for competitive bids, but the district is seeking quotes. A line of storms tore a hole in the roof, rupturing water lines, which damaged walls, flooring and more. The board is expected to review quotes for the work later this month. A timeline to complete the work is not yet known.
