The Elkhart Truth reports Forest River Inc. and Thor Industries Inc. (NYSE: THO) will hold this year’s open house the week of September 26.
“That is correct, returning back to what we used to do before the pandemic,” Forest River Chief Executive Officer Pete Liegl said. “It will be good to see dealers face to face and to see them without their masks on, you know?”
According to Liegl, Forest River’s exhibit locations have not yet been determined for the open house.
“We were debating a couple places,” Liegl told RVBusiness magazine. “But we don’t have it nailed down yet because where we had it last time, we put another building up, and we ran out of room. So, right now we’re in the middle of negotiating with a couple of people.”
The publication reports Thor is also sorting through the details for this year’s open house.
“Yes, we’ve wanted to have the Open House for the last couple years,” Thor CEO Bob Martin said. “And it was really just due to COVID and just other things coming up that we chose not to have the show over the past two years. But for this year, I think dealers are really looking forward to getting back to Elkhart and getting back into a more normal year where we can get together, have fun, see product and see people who we haven’t frankly seen in years.”
The event, which is usually held on an annual basis, typically draws thousands of RV dealers and manufacturers.
