The company will become part of Dexter, a DexKo business unit based in Elkhart.
DexKo Global was formed in 2015 through the combination of DEXTER and AL-KO Vehicle Technology.
TexTrail has more than 30 locations throughout North America and supplies trailer parts, accessories, tires and wheels to trailer manufacturers, dealers, and repair shops.
“Dexter has always been committed to supporting the best trailer parts distribution network in North America,” said Adam Dexter, president and chief executive officer of Dexter. “With the acquisition of TexTrail, it further solidifies Dexter’s leading position to support trailer manufacturers, dealers, and service locations. Bringing the TexTrail and Dexter companies together will make our abilities even stronger.”
DexKo says the transaction will also include two other businesses that TexTrail acquired this year – Wholesale Trailer Supply, LLC, a California based trailer parts and accessories distributor, and Marius Garon Inc., a distributor of trailer parts and towing accessories based in Quebec City, Quebec.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022.
