Disparate stakeholders including entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and educators will come together for the event, which features a $5 million pitch competition, six innovation studios, thought leaders from around the globe, and a demo arena.
Elevate CEO Toph Day says last year’s event drew 3,000 people from 15 countries to Indianapolis.
“When we say innovators, those are not just investors or entrepreneurs alone. Those are philanthropic leaders, educational leaders, foundational leaders, policymakers [and] departmental leaders,” Day said. “Those are the types of folks that come to Rally. So, it is a cross sector [that] intersects with stakeholders; that’s where the magic happens.”
Day says there are several success stories that came out of the first Rally event, including a company that found a Series A investor.
“It turns out that investor in this company worked and lived five miles from each other and didn’t even know each other,” Day said. “We had other companies who met other partners. Whether it was customers that they got business from, whether it’s other partners…now they’re working together. I feel like there’s thousands of stories that have come out of just over a year of Rally.”
Speakers at this year’s event include Alex Rodriguez, Jann Mardenborough, Tia White and more.
“This year, everybody has a flavor for what it means to be in a room with so many different types of people that are around your orbit, but maybe not in your daily routine,” Day said. “When you meet people just outside of your orbit, you can learn from them…let’s lock arms and let’s learn together, let’s discover together.”
Rally will take place Aug. 27-28. For tickets or more information on the event, click here.
