In this next episode of Agbioscience, the podcast presented by AgriNovus Indiana, Christopher Day says agbiosciences as a venture capital opportunity should not be overlooked.
“If you think about the power of that, and how that can impact not only Indiana, but the nation and the globe, with different ways of thinking about how we grow grain, or even fish,” Day said to podcast host and AgriNovus CEO Mitch Frazier. “How do we think differently about feeding the world, in the power of the corporate partners we have here, like Beck’s [Hybrid Seeds] and Corteva [Agriscience], those types of folks. So, we definitely look at agtech as a big part of our growth.”
Day was named Elevate Ventures’ CEO in July, succeeding Chris LaMothe who announced last December he was stepping down. As a tech entrepreneur, Day has been a pivotal player in Indiana’s growing tech ecosystem, having started several companies.
Day most recently served as co-founder and CEO of DemandJump, an artificial-intelligence-powered marketing strategy platform.
Elevate Ventures says Day’s background in building companies, investing in growing companies, and engaging in public policy made him an ideal person to take the reins.
“There are just so many opportunities popping up every single day that are disruptive in nature and how to do something better,” said Day.
