Michigan City EDC Elects Board Officers

Leif Erickson, vice president and general manager of Blue Chip Casino, Hotel & Spa, was elected vice chairman. Tom Edwards, president and chief operating officer of Horizon Bank, was re-elected secretary/treasurer.
All three officers will serve three-year terms.
"The EDCMC has had a terrific year expanding on new community partnerships and is looking forward to a massive 2016 with so many new projects already on the drawing board," said Babcock. "The EDCMC is excited to show developers and investors that Michigan City, Indiana is all in and open for business."
All of the officer elections were unanimous. The board also appointed new members, including Michigan City Area Schools Superintendent Barbara Eason-Watkins, Sullair LLC Vice President and General Manager Greg Hutchison and Bill Kaminski of Newby Lewis Kaminski Jones LLP.
Eason-Watkins, Hutchison and Kaminski were all appointed to one-year terms.
