The organization says the event comes as childcare centers continue to struggle to find qualified talent in the wake of the pandemic.
Early Learning Indiana is looking to hire for positions within the organization, as well as its eight Day Early Learning Centers. Open positions include classroom teachers, classroom support professionals, and substitute teachers.
“The early childhood education sector is critical to Indiana’s economic development and prosperity,” said Maureen Weber, chief executive officer of Early Learning Indiana. “Children, families, communities and employers depend on reliable, high-quality child care. That starts with early childhood educators. As a result of the pandemic, early childhood education centers, like all businesses, are facing an unprecedented talent shortage.”
The organization says it offers industry-leading wages and benefits, as well as a $1,000 sign-on bonus for new hires.
The hiring events will take place at Thursday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Day Early Learning Lilly Family Center, located at 3522 N. Central Avenue in Indy.
