In her new role, the organization said Powell will build relationships with local and state government, federal departments, not-for-profits and other economic development agencies to bolster the region’s investments and reputation as a business environment.
“I am excited to bring my experience working in local municipalities to E-REP and begin working to help all our communities with placemaking, talent attraction and retention, infrastructure improvements, and improving the overall quality of life for our citizens in this already great region,” she said.
Powell is currently the Newburgh town administrative manager and has previously worked for the city of Boonville, the Warrick County Area Plan Commission, and the private sector.
Powell’s appointment comes less than a month after E-REP promoted Patrick Hickey to economic development director.
