The Wakarusa-based company filed a WARN notice with the Indiana Department of Workforce Development late last month informing the state of its plans to permanently close its facility at 507 Ward St.
The company’s human resources manager wrote in the notice that all separations with the company are expected to be permanent, affecting both hourly and salaried workers. The Wakarusa location currently employs 55 people, according to the notice. Most of those employees work in assembly roles for the company.
Layoffs are expected to begin on Jan. 12 and end by March 31, depending on the business’ needs.
