Dunkin’ Donuts has signed an agreement with a franchise group to bring six locations to Evansville, including one multi-brand location with Baskin-Robbins. The first restaurant is expected to open in 2018.

The locations will be operated by Maruti Donuts Inc., which has been a Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins franchisee for more than 20 years. The group currently has 12 multi-brand locations throughout Indiana. There is no word yet on specific locations for the restaurants.

There are currently 65 Dunkin’ Donuts locations in Indiana. The company says it is looking to grow its regional footprint by recruiting franchisees in markets including Jasper, Effingham, Illinois and Madisonville, Kentucky.

Dunkin’ Brands Group Inc. operates on a 100 percent franchised business model. At the end of the fourth quarter of 2016, the company says it has more than 12,200 Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants and more than 7,800 Baskin-Robbins locations worldwide. Dunkin’ Brands is based in Massachusetts.
