Esamann, who currently serves as executive vice president of energy solutions and president of the Midwest and Florida regions for North Carolina-based Duke Energy Corp. (NYSE: DUK), has served on the ESN board since 2015.
Esamann succeeds Thomas Snyder, president emeritus of Ivy Tech Community College, who has retired from the position. ESN says Snyder will continue as an emeritus board member.
"ESN brings together global leaders to collaborate on energy technology projects that are accelerating the pace of technology innovation," said Esamann. Esamann served as president of Plainfield-based Duke Energy Indiana before being promoted to lead the Midwest and Florida regions.
