Duke Energy Grants for Economic Development Efforts

In the first series of grants, the utility awarded a total of $28,500 to six Indiana economic development organizations as part of the Foreign Direct Investment Partnership Program.
This grant is FDI Partnerships helps organizations learn how to attract foreign investment. Each organization was awarded up to $5,000.
“We have to cultivate successful relationships with overseas customers to encourage them to invest in our Indiana cities and regions,” said Erin Schneider, Indiana director of economic development for Duke Energy.
The grants will help pay for marketing materials and fees to international trade shows.
The six regional organizations, each receiving $5,000 grants, include:
- City of Westfield
- Crawford County Economic Development Corp.
- Grow Wabash County
- Indy Partnership
- Radius Indiana
- Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County
Duke Energy has also awarded $114,500 to 24 Indiana economic development groups for the 2020 Marketing Partnership Program.
The money helps regional economic development groups attract business investment to their areas. Each organization receives a $5,000 grant.
