Dubois Strong names new executive director

Subscribe NowDubois Strong, the economic development organization for Dubois County, has named Colten Pipenger as its new executive director. Pipenger most recently served as a program manager for the Evansville Regional Economic Partnership.
Pipenger succeeds Ed Cole, who resigned from the position in June.
During his time at E-REP, Pipenger oversaw a variety of projects that received funding from the state’s Regional Economic Acceleration and Development Initiative, or READI, as well as River Vision projects.
“With his experience, enthusiasm, exceptional communication skills, and fresh perspective, we are confident he will bring great value to our organization,” Nick Stevens, board chair for Dubois Strong, said in a news release. “We feel fortunate to have found him and eagerly anticipate a successful future with him leading the way.”
Pipenger is a graduate of the University of Southern Indiana. He began his new role on Monday.
“I look forward to immersing myself in a strong community and remain eager to collaborate with local businesses, stakeholders, and community members,” Pipenger said. “Together, I believe we can continue to build upon and enhance the quality of life in our communities and create a thriving economic future.”
Dubois Strong also announced Anne McGowan as its new marketing specialist. McGowan joined the organization in July.
