The organization says the funding will be used to expand its main campus at 34th and Meridian in Indianapolis.
Dove House says the expansion will add 5,000 square feet of space and 15 residential beds, in addition to relocating its Community Outreach Center to the main campus. The organization opened the outreach center last July.
“The demand for women-centered addiction treatment and recovery services has never been greater and now is the time to take action. By expanding Dove House’s capacity from 40 to 55 beds, we will be able to immediately move women off the waitlist and into care,” Dove House Chief Executive Officer Wendy Noe said in written remarks. “Additionally, relocating the Outreach Center to our main campus will allow more women to seamlessly access outpatient services and grow a connection with the community while awaiting residential admission.”
The launch of the campaign’s public phase includes a matching gift from the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation of up to $300,000, and along with a Community Development Block Grant, Dove House says its fundraising goal will likely be met in months.
Fairbanks President and CEO Claire Fiddian-Green says the foundation is focused on the city’s biggest public health challenges.
“Dove House has a proven track record of helping women in our community achieve long-term sobriety and we are delighted to support the Groundbreaking Impact Capital Campaign with a dollar-for-dollar match,” said Fiddian-Green.
