It describes the potential 191,000 square-foot, live-work-play project as multi-story and says it would be in-line with the city and county’s 2015-2035 comprehensive plan that calls for generating a more pedestrian-friendly environment.
The company is seeking a variance from the city’s Board of Zoning Appeals to install parking spaces smaller than current regulations for its proposal that would allow for underground parking to serve street-level businesses and greenspace. Aside from the old transportation hub, which has been transformed into a BRU burger restaurant, the block lot is undeveloped and surrounded by Vine Street, Third Street, Sycamore Street and Second Street.
The BZA is scheduled to discuss the variance October 18th.
