The more than $2 million investment will nearly triple the firm’s office space, creating up to 43 jobs by 2021.
The Indiana Economic Development Corp. says updates to the office are already underway, including new spaces for Mitsch Design’s commercial office furniture showroom and branding operations as well as a virtual reality studio. The firm currently employs 27 full-time workers and is hiring for a variety of positions, including sales, showroom coordination and interior design.
"Indiana has an abundance of talented and knowledgeable individuals graduating from its universities, so it makes sense for Mitsch Design to attract and hire forward-thinking individuals from our own state to maintain our leadership as innovators in our field," said Jeryl Mitsch, president of Mitsch Design. "Working with the city and the state will help us to hire and train the high caliber talent that our clients deserve."
Mitsch Design’s Indiana clients include Indianapolis-based Angie’s List (Nasdaq: ANGI), Dow AgroSciences and Citizens Energy. The IEDC has offered the firm up to $75,000 in training grants and up to $225,000 in conditional, performance-based tax credits.
