The 59th annual Decorators’ Show House and Gardens won’t have its usual in-person house tours, but that doesn’t mean patrons won’t be able to see all of the hard work designers and landscapers have put into this year’s Fox Hill Manor.
Built in 1929, it was the second home to be built in Meridian Hills. And thanks to Saint Margaret’s Hospital Guild, those interested will be able to view all 26 rooms of the home and its 2 acres of newly designed landscapes free of charge through a 25 minute video tour released today. 2020 Decorators’ Show House Virtual Tour
Organizers say 100% of all donations will directly support the Eskenazi Health COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund to help fight the spread of COVID-19 in Indiana. Decorator Chair Margaret Murrmann says although she’s disappointed folks won’t be able to physically walk through the home, she thinks the video tour will still have the same impact.
“I really believe that the way that this is done, people are going to very much enjoy it. Be very proud of what’s happened,” said Murrmann. “But I guess we want to get across to the public that we would have done this and and are saddened that we can’t, but we also know that we were protecting people. I think we did what we should do and hope that everybody enjoys it.”
