Daviess Community Hospital to acquire primary care clinic

Subscribe NowDaviess Community Hospital is adding to its local portfolio with its planned acquisition of Montgomery Medical Associates. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, but the hospital said the clinic will be renamed Daviess Community Hospital Montgomery Medical Clinic.
The clinic is led by Dr. Merle Holsopple, who will remain at the practice, along with nurse practitioner Lori Daniel and all staff. The hospital did not specify how many people work at the clinic.

“With our expansion into Montgomery, we’re building on our commitment to provide excellent care across southwestern Indiana, promote healthy lifestyles, and collaborate with local partners to meet the evolving needs of our neighbors,” DCH Chief Financial Officer April Settles said in a news release.
The clinic is located at 542 N. 3rd Street in Montgomery, about 115 miles southwest of Indianapolis.
The acquisition is expected to take effect March 1.
