Our partners at The Times of Northwest Indiana report the company, which makes cosmetic, skincare and hair care products, plans to hire up to 120 employees by the end of 2023.
Orean has invested $5 million to operate inside a 72,000-square-foot space at the Northwinds Crossing business park, according to the publication. Production at the facility has already begun with plans to ramp up operations with the new hires.
“We’re thrilled to be in Lake County,” Orean CEO Dan Williams told The Times. “The relocation from a small initial base in Illinois to our new larger premises in the second largest manufacturing state in the US allows us to attract some incredible talent and provides room for investment and growth. Everyone should be taking advantage of this opportunity.”
Orean is headquartered in West Yorkshire, England. The company makes private-label products for clients from development to distribution.
The company is currently hiring for positions such as production, engineering, warehouse, logistics and quality control.
“We are pleased that when Orean Beauty considered their company’s long-term outlook in the United States, they envisioned locating in our community,” Hobart Mayor Brian Snedecor said. “With their client products available in major retailers worldwide, it will be an honor to see Hobart as part of Orean’s international portfolio.”
The company plans to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony next Tuesday.
