Dr. Vahid Osman, who has worked at the center for over 11 years, will take over operations by the end of October.
The center provides acute behavioral health and residential programs for kids. The youth behavioral health crisis services ended last week, a Reid news release said, but the residential program will continue. Referrals and operations will continue as normal for the time being, and any changes will be announced later.
“It has been our pleasure to serve the youth who have come to the Care Pavilion over the past few years,” said Misti Foust-Cofield, Reid Health vice president and chief nursing officer. “We’re excited to see what comes next under Dr. Osman’s leadership.”
The pavilion has functioned under Reid Health since 2019, when the health system acquired a portion of Fayette Regional Health System’s assets. Since taking over, Reid said it had earned additional accreditations and conducted overdue maintenance.
