Manufacturer to Expand Evansville Location

Subscribe NowGarage door parts and accessories manufacturer and distributor Torsion Group Corp. plans to double its Evansville footprint. The company will expand its manufacturing operations and add distribution and warehouse space, along with creating 18 jobs by 2025.
The company is based in Strongsville, Ohio and plans to invest over $4 million to add new equipment and to expand its current 28,880 square foot facility to 57,500 square feet in the Vanderburgh Industrial Park.
“Evansville is perfectly centered in the Midwest where 80% of garage door OEM customers manufacture new doors,” said Joe Sitzman, vice president of operations and COO of Torsion Group Corp. “It is also geographically centered between Torsion Group’s distribution centers located in Ohio, Georgia, Wisconsin and Arizona which provides a competitive freight advantage for our customers.”
The company currently employs over 30 associates. The Vanderburgh County Council will consider an incentive package for the company, including a five-year tax phase-in on real estate improvements and personal property. The Indiana Economic Development Corp. also offered the group $100,000 in conditional tax credits based on job creation plans.
