The recipients include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, the Foundation for Art and Music in Elementary Education and the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
The organizations were recognized for serving Allen County in the 1st quarter of 2019.
The recipients are:
- A Mother’s Hope ($5,000) – Housing and services for homeless pregnant women;
- Artlink ($5,000) – Exhibits and educational programs;
- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana ($45,000) – Youth mentoring programs pairing adults;
- Center for Nonviolence ($30,000) – Intervention and prevention services to men, women, and youth to end domestic and other forms of violence;
- Community Transportation Network ($55,000) – Specialized transportation;
- Crossing Educational Center of Fort Wayne ($2,000) – Job training program;
- Curriculum Opportunities and Resources for Educators ($2,500) – Vocational training for young adults with disabilities;
- Easter Seals ARC of Northeast Indiana ($13,000) – Services for people with intellectual disabilities;
- Euell A. Wilson Center ($25,000) – Youth development programs;
- Fort Wayne Cinema Center ($10,000) – Showcase film as an art form;
- Fort Wayne Rescue Mission ($40,000) – Shelter, food, clothing for men, women, and children;
- Foundation for Art and Music in Elementary Education ($10,000) – Multicultural Arts Education programs;
- Heart of the City Mission Foundation ($5,000) – Operation Bicycle;
- Heartland Sings ($5,000) – Performances, education and community outreach;
- Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana ($30,000) – Financial Literacy Program;
- Lutheran Social Services of Indiana ($50,000) – Programs providing financial, emotional, and social resources to individuals in crisis;
- Mental Health America ($25,000) – Client advocacy services;
- Northeast Indiana Foundation Inc. ($10,000) – Vision 2030 initiative;
- Northeast Indiana Innovation Center Inc. ($5,000) – “Enterprising Communities” for Main Street and Solo Entrepreneurs;
- RemedyLIVE ($10,000) – SoulMedic, text to chat mental health program;
- SCAN ($25,000) – Family preservation program;
- Start Fort Wayne ($5,000) – Entrepreneur and small business services
- The League (for the Blind and Disabled) ($25,000) – Opportunities to empower people with disabilities;
- Volunteer Lawyer Program of Northeast Indiana ($5,000) – Pro Bono Legal Services Program
