Subscribe NowIndianapolis-based Commonwealth Engineers Inc. has hired Dale Gick as a senior project engineer and manager overseeing projects involving dams, levees, and storm water engineering on the Project Management Team. His office will be based out of the Commonwealth corporate headquarters.
Since 1995, he worked for the Indiana Department of Natural Resources. Gick began his career there, first with the Water Division, then in the Division of Engineering as assistant director over the Planning and Design Branch. In 2012, he was promoted to director of the division of engineering where he oversaw various projects for the DNR primarily on State Parks, State Forests, and Fish & Wildlife properties. A critical part of his management was the oversight of essential dam, road, trail, water, and wastewater projects.
Special accolades include being a part of a team that received the Governor’s Public Service Achievement Team Award for the design of an Asian Carp barrier at Eagle Marsh. He was also a 2017 recipient of the Purdue Outstanding Agricultural and Biological Engineering Alumni Award.
Gick holds a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering from Purdue University.
