The company, which has developed a software platform designed to help title companies, law firms and real estate professionals streamline operations, plans to use the funding to scale its product and add jobs.
The funding round was announced this week in conjunction with the launch of the TitleWise platform.
TitleWise said its digital tools that “significantly reduce manual errors and accelerates the data extraction process,” allowing for faster transaction closings, the company said.
The round was led by M25, a venture firm based in Chicago and Indianapolis, with participation from other investors.
“We were excited to see a solution for title researchers by title researchers that helps bring abstracting processes and data management into the 21st century,” M25 Managing Partner Victor Gutwein said in a news release. “TitleWise has an expert team with a cutting edge product that we know will be a leading software for the future of the industry.”
TitleWise currently has four Indiana-based employees and four off-shore contractors. CEO Jennifer Mason said the company plans to fill more Indiana-based product development and sales positions, though a specific number was not provided.
The funding round, the company said, will accelerate its go-to-market strategy and build out tools and AI services to advance the speed and quality of title research.
“Following our product launch and recent funding round, we have sales and product development initiatives working in tandem,” Mason said in a statement to IIB. “As we scale sales of the current product, we are also developing exciting, new innovations that will solve more complicated problems within the real estate title ecosystem.”
TitleWise also received an $80,000 seed investment by winning the Elevate Nexus Southern Indiana regional pitch competition held by Indianapolis-based Elevate Ventures earlier this year.
