In addition to a WesBanco business loan, the fund provided the additional loan so owner Todd Watts had working capital and could expand his new business, said 1si CEO Wendy Dant Chesser
The funeral home has assisted grieving community members since 1951 with typical services like cremation and prearrangement.
Watts did not respond to a request for comment from Inside INdiana Business at deadline Wednesday.
The One Fund program was established in June 2022 to provide small businesses with capital for startup and growth initiatives.
Earlier this month, a family-owned commercial and residential exterior cleaning services company in Nabb, Indiana, named Patriot Mobile Wash, was the first non-emergency recipient of the loan fund.
The fund was largely used as financial relief for businesses struggling during the pandemic since its inception.
