Chicago insurance firm acquires Meyers Glaros in Merrillville

Subscribe NowChicago-based insurance brokerage and financial services firm Hub International Ltd. is growing its Indiana footprint. The firm announced Monday it has acquired Merrillville-based Meyers Glaros LLC and its parent, GMG Group Inc., though financial terms were not disclosed.
Hub said in a news release that Meyers Glaros is one of the oldest independently owned insurance brokerages that provides commercial and personal insurance, and employee benefits services.
“Meyers Glaros has a strong reputation in the market, and we are excited to have them join Hub,” Hub Midwest East President and CEO Caroly Hofstee said in the release. “From their high-performing sales team of specialists to their strong relationships with top insurance providers, they will help us continue to advance our growth strategy in the region.”
Hub said that the entire Meyers Glaros team will join Hub Midwest East, though a specific number of employees was not given. Managing Partners Matt Glaros and Jeff Meyers will also come on board.
“Hub is the perfect strategic partner for us as we look to accelerate our growth into the future,” said Glaros. “Joining Hub will give our clients and employees greater resources, expertise and opportunities.”
Moving forward, Meyers Glaros will be referred to as Meyers Glaros LLC, a Hub International company.
Hub International also has a location in Mishawaka.
