Certor Sports announces new CEO

Erspamer will lead the sporting goods company’s portfolio, which includes brands Schutt, TUCCI and VICIS. Prior, he was CEO of Illinois-based Equustock for two years and spent 20 years at Tennessee-based True Temper Sports, where he also eventually served as president and CEO.
He follows Jim Heidenreich who oversaw the the company’s move to its new facility and last year’s growth.

We will focus on the athlete, with intensive consumer feedback and interaction, to continue designing industry-leading products and groundbreaking technology.”
The company announced plans to open a new manufacturing and distribution facility in Plainfield in 2021. With the move, Certor Sports relocated its headquarters from New York to Central Indiana where it said it would invest around $19 million and create 300 jobs. The company’s headcount is nearly 400.
