CenterPoint Energy Names Executive Team

(NYSE: CNP) has announced an executive team to lead the combined company following the pending merger with Vectren Corp. (NYSE: VVC) in Evansville. The merger is expected to close in the first quarter of 2019.
CenterPoint Energy President and Chief Executive Officer Scott Prochazka will serve in the same role for the combined company, which will be named CenterPoint Energy, with a headquarters in Houston.

The new leadership team of the combined company:
- Current CenterPoint executive vice president and president of their electric division, Tracy Bridge, will lead the utility business. He will be responsible for electric transmission and distribution as well as supervise technology operations and training programs.
- Lynnae Wilson, who is currently Vectren’s vice president in energy delivery will lead the company’s Indiana electric utility business. She will be responsible for power generation and construction, distribution and electric engineering, among other areas. Wilson will be based in Evansville.
- Current CenterPoint senior vice president Scott E. Doyle will head up the company’s natural gas utility business. Doyle will be oversee natural gas supply, natural gas engineering, and operations support and will supervise the enterprise customer organization and will be based in Evansville.
- Joseph Vortherms, current senior vice president of CenterPoint Energy Services, will lead the company’s competitive businesses, including natural gas supply and sales, commercial development and marketing, and Vectren’s Miller Pipeline, Minnesota Limited and Energy Systems Group.
- CenterPoint’s senior vice president and general counsel, Dana O’Brien, will lead the company’s legal organization. She will be responsible for regulatory and government affairs, corporate and securities, and other areas.
- Sue Ortenstone, currently CenterPoint Energy’s senior vice president and chief human resources officer, will oversee human resources. She will have responsibility for talent, compensation and benefits, labor relations, and enterprise communications and community relations.
- CenterPoint’s integration officer, Kenneth Mercado, will lead the company’s integration implementation, including process improvement, change leadership, and purchasing.
CenterPoint’s current executive vice president and chief financial officer, Bill Rogers, has announced plans to retire. He will remain in his current role through the first quarter of next year. CenterPoint and Vectren will continue to operate as separate companies until the close of the transaction.
