(NYSE: CNP) is taking another step to combine its Indiana Electric and Houston Electric business units. The utility said it is bringing both businesses under a single leadership structure.
As part of the change, Lynnae Wilson will serve as senior vice president of electric business for CenterPoint. She previously held the position specifically for Houston Electric.
The announcement comes more than two years after CenterPoint originally announced the merger of both businesses into one organization.
CenterPoint acquired Evansville-based Vectren Corp. in February 2019. The utility’s Indiana Electric business continued to operate out of southwest Indiana following the $6 billion deal.
The utility did not specify if any Indiana jobs would be affected by the move.
As part of the changes in CenterPoint’s Electric Business, the company has promoted Eric Easton to the newly-created position of vice president of grid transformation and investment strategy. Additionally, Rina Harris has been promoted to vice president of business development.
Both Easton and Harris will report to Wilson.
“Since my appointment to CEO more than two years ago, I have been laser focused on pursuing a strategy of unlocking the strength and potential of our company to position us among the premium-valued utilities in our industry,” CEO Dave Lesar said in written remarks. “Accomplishing these strategic priorities starts with our most important resource – our diverse and talented workforce – and the company’s continuing investments in developing future leaders to ensure we have a deep succession pipeline.”
