The Centennial Campaign seeks to raise $25 million to fund several projects, including a new Innovation Center.
Cathedral says the state-of-the-art Innovation Center will provide best-in-class science, engineering, robotics, design, and programming facilities. It is being designed to promote interdisciplinary scholarship. The campaign will also fund growth in the endowment to support tuition assistance and teacher compensation, as well as an initiative to transform Brunette Park and enhance the city’s east side.
"The Centennial Campaign is a celebration of 100 years of our accomplishments at our school, in our community, and our impact in Indianapolis," said Robert Bridges, president of Cathedral High School. "At the same time, this campaign marks a once in a lifetime moment for us all to build on this legacy and further our impact. The campaign means more students will be provided tuition assistance, influenced by exceptional educators, and experience next-generation teaching and learning."
Cathedral says it has already secured $19.5 million toward the $25 million goal through philanthropic gifts, grants, and commitments, including $5.2 million in initial gifts from the school’s board of directors. The school hopes to raise the remaining $5.5 million by June 2019.
